A Classic Game Gets a High-Stakes Rework

Shock's latest original game takes the bones of Battleship and rebuilds them around a simple idea: Sink Ships, Win Money.

The premise is straightforward. Three ships are randomly hidden somewhere on a 6×6 grid. Your job is to sink all three before you run out of shots, and the fewer shots it takes, the bigger your multiplier.

Armada Rewards Thinking, Not Just Luck

Shock Armada builds on that logic, attaching a multiplier to how well you use it. Each shot you take, even if you miss, gives you information you can use on the next one, and narrows down where a ship could still be.

Shock Armada keeps that logic intact and attaches a multiplier to how well you use it. Players who treat every shot as a data point, rather than a random guess, are playing a fundamentally different game than players who click tiles at random.

Armada rewards strategy.

Core Strategy Principles

Armada's strategy guide breaks shot selection into a few repeatable habits. Here's the thinking behind each one.

1. Think in Combinations

Center tiles touch more possible ship positions than edges or corners, so starting there rules out more combinations per shot.

2. Know What You Sank

Each ship has a known size:

• Thunder Queen is 3 tiles
• Gilded Ghost and Stormfang Skiff are 2 each.

Sink the Thunder Queen, and you know the rest are 2-tile ships. If it's the only one left, it needs three tiles in a row, which rules out most of the board.

3. Play for the Finish

Not every shot has to be a hit. A miss can still rule out where a ship isn't and give you a better idea of where to shoot next. Think of the board as a puzzle. The fewer spaces left, the better chance to hit a ship and raise your multiplier.

How the Multiplier Works

Armada's payout multiplier is built around efficiency

You don't have to sink all ships to cash out. You can cash out early for a smaller multiplier or stay in the battle to try and maximize your payout. The more shots you hit, the higher the multiplier. Using your board's information helps you be strategic and maximize your payout.

Changing your Risk Level (Low, Medium, or High) changes your multiplier. Make your plan of attack and control your payout.

Manual Play vs. Autoplay

Armada has two modes: manual play, where you work the board shot by shot, and turbo autoplay, where you set your bet amount and risk level and let rounds run on their own. Risk Level (Low, Medium, or High) changes how big your payouts can swing, separately from how you read the board.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does strategy actually improve my results in Armada?
Because ship placement follows fixed rules (ship sizes, grid dimensions, remaining tile count), each shot narrows the realistic possibilities for the next one — the same logical process that makes Battleship a game of deduction rather than pure guessing. Shock Armada doesn't publish or guarantee specific win outcomes from any particular strategy; the principles above describe how to read the board more effectively, not a formula for winning.

2. What's the grid size in Armada?
6×6, with 3 hidden ships of different sizes:
   • The Thunder Queen - 3 tiles
   • Gilded Ghost - 2 tiles
   • Stormfang Skiff - 2 tiles

3. Can I cash out before the round ends?
Yes. You can collect your current multiplier at any point, even if you haven't sunk all three ships yet.

4. Is there a tutorial in the game?
Yes. Armada includes an in-game Strategy guide with grid-reading tips, organized by topic (combinations, confirmed ships, endgame play).
